Eco-chic jewelry line, Amy Bubes Jewelry, launches “The WOW Collection”

Since launching in 2009, Atlanta-based, sustainable jewelry line, Amy Bubes Jewelry, has earned national buzz for its unique, handcrafted aesthetic and use of the purer, higher quality metal: Argentium Silver. This month, ABJ announced the launch of its first dedicated collection (until now, Amy Bubes has been releasing individual pieces): The WOW Collection… just in time for the holidays.

"I wanted this collection to exhibit the bold and unique quality that all ABJ pieces do," Bubes says. "But as my first dedicated collection, it needed to make a statement when worn alone." The line is a bit chunkier, yet so comfortable it can be forgotten. It gets noticed while remaining elegant.

The 12-piece collection consists of necklaces, cuffs, bracelets and rings- all in the chunky, statement-making WOW signature look and all inspired by The WOW Necklace (image above). Retail prices range from $160-$1,800, an outstanding value for high-end accessories, considering the high cost of silver and gold in today’s market.

Like all ABJ pieces, The WOW Collection is crafted with diamond accents and Argentium Silver, a purer type of silver that is brighter than platinum, highly tarnish resistant and is more durable than traditional sterling. In addition, it is more environmentally responsible than other precious metals, as it doesn’t require harmful chemicals during the manufacturing process.

Pieces from The Wow Collection and from ABJ’s classic line are available at Tassels Jewelry, in Buckhead, and at the midtown and Decatur locations of Worthmore Jewelers. Check with individual stores for specific availability.

About the Artist

Amy Bubes’ (pronounced "Bew-Biss") natural draw toward creative expression led her to take metalsmithing classes in 2007, and soon after to conduct extensive research of the jewelry market. “I received so much positive feedback on a set of bangles I made for myself that I realized I had something unlike anything else on the market and a foundation to create a completely unique line,” Bubes says. In 2009, the mother of three’s creative vision was realized with the launch of Amy Bubes Jewelry. The line now includes earrings, necklaces, cuffs, rings and charms, all exhibiting the same distinctive aesthetic that is exclusively “Amy Bubes".
