The long wait is over. We now have the Louis Vuitton Global Boutique with Ready-To-Wear on the East Coast only available in New York, Atlanta, and Bal Harbour.
We also have the Ermenegido Zegna Superstore and LVMH has added FENDI to the line up at Lenox Square. I hope to see Altanta get more LVMH offerings with additions such as Emilio Pucci, which believe it or not first opened in Atlanta in 1976 in the once known Omni International Complex along with Bally and Hermes and a few others. Also Thomas Pink would be nice as well as Donna Karen or DKNY, Stella McCartney, Dian Von Furstenberg, and Carolina Herera. And do not forget the big two everyone is dying for, Chanel and Dior, with Dior also being part of the LVMH empire.

I am thrilled that this project is going to move forward. It seems only the hotel portion will be left out, and the mult-million dollar condos in favor of two 20-story apartment towers.
But there are four points many in Buckhead have stressed:

1. The true name of this area is the Buckhead Village, maybe that was not upscale enough and now we have Buckhead-Atlanta?

2. There is concern over making the retail portion smaller from 600,000 sq. feet to 300,000 sq. feet.

3. We have dreamed for years that Buckhead could reach its full luxury retail potential much like the Bal Harbor Shops in Miami. Will our highly anticipated luxury retail be axed, and we will have Class A retailers instead, but maybe kicked up a notch like Custo Barcelona, Emporio Armani, D&G, Just Cavalli, and then have the luxury retail as promised such as Etro, Bruno Cucinelli, Oscar de la Renta, Yves Staint Laurant, Emillio Pucci, Van Cleef & Arpels etc.?

4. Will the project be designed so that if more retail square footage is needed, it can be added on instead of having retailers wait on list that are redicuously long, some 2 years or longer?

The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces will host its third annual fine arts festival at Chastain Park on November 5-6, 2011 in Buckhead. 200 participating artist and artisans will display their works during this two day event.“Chastain Park Arts Festival” will host its third annual event on November 5 – 6, at Chastain Park along Park Drive for approximately 200 artists and artisans. Visitors will enjoy fine art and crafts, a children’s area and local food and beverage concessions including the “gourmet”food trucks.Local acoustic musicians will enliven the atmosphere.Best of all, it’s entirely free to attend! This event will benefit“Livable Buckhead,” a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and maintaining greenspace and a sustainable community in Buckhead (www.livablebuckhead.org), as well as a scholarship fund for local artists administered by the Georgia Foundation for Public Spaces.
