Luxury Swiss watches brand Omega has revealed that they have signed a 5 year sponsorship deal with the PGA Golf tour to be the official timekeeper of golf tournaments held by the PGA.
The deal sees Omega becoming the Official Timekeeper of several major golf events including the PGA Championship (including the Senior PGA Championship), the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the PGA Professional National Championship an an official licensee for both the 2012 and 2014 Ryder Cups.
The partnership will be official launched at the 2011 PGA Golf Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club in John Creek Georgia USA and will run right through to the year 2016.
The president of Omega watches, Stephen Urquhart said that Omega have ‘long supported the growth of golf as a global game’ and that the partnership was a ‘fantastic platform’ to develop the Omega brand in the American market.
The deal is just one of a long line of affiliations that Omega have had with sporting events across the world, which also include being official timekeepers for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
