From 2010 to 2011, Chef Mitchell held the Executive Sous Chef position at New Orleans Marriott where he was fully responsible for all aspects of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef. As Executive Sous Chef he has won multiple awards at the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience. From October 2011 to June 2013 Mitchell held the Executive Chef position at New Orleans Marriott. Chef Mitchell also held the Senior Sous Chef position at the New Orleans Marriott from 2007 to 2009 and was part of the opening team for the new restaurant concept 5 Fifty 5. The hotel ranked top 10 in the company for GSS Quality of Food in their meetings and events.
In 2012 Chef Mitchell was recognized for his leadership capabilities in his previous role at New Orleans Marriott Downtown at the Convention Center.
